While the surface of the metal can get warm, it actually reflects sunlight away from the soil, helping to maintain a balanced temperature. Additionally, soil is a natural cooling agent, which further helps regulate heat. Our garden beds without bottoms also allow the soil to connect directly with the earth, promoting airflow that helps dissipate excess heat. Our 30″ tall garden beds are made of 20-gauge panels, while all other garden beds are made of 22-gauge (0.8 mm) panels.All the garden beds are made of corrugated galvanized steel with a premium anti-corrosion powder coating, meeting the highest standards for quality and safety. They are Proposition 65 and RoHS compliant. With proper care and installation, they are designed to last for about 20 years.
