Do your garden beds have cross bars, middle support?
The round garden beds are rock-solid and stable, requiring no additional support in the center. All other garden beds （oval-shaped and rectangular-shaped)）now come equipped with bracing rods for added safety and durability. Incorporating the bracing rods into 8x4ft and 6x3ft oval garden beds is a new design just released in late 2024. If the instruction manual in the box doesn't reflect this change and you don't know how to install it, please contact us for an updated manual.
Can I adjust the size of my garden beds by adding or removing panels?
Yes, you can customize the length of your garden beds by adding or removing panels. As long as the height matches, the screw holes will align for easy adjustment. For customized beds wider than 3 feet or longer than 6 feet, we recommend adding bracing rods for extra stability. Proper installation and use of bracing rods are essential to ensure the bed remains stable.
Do metal raised garden beds get too hot in the summer or in hot climates?
Anleolife garden beds are definitely okay in summer. We have many customers in Florida who have successfully grown plants in our metal garden beds, even during the hot summer months. While the surface of the metal can get warm, it actually reflects sunlight away from the soil, helping to maintain a balanced temperature. Additionally, soil is a natural cooling agent, which further helps regulate heat. Our garden beds without bottoms also allow the soil to connect directly with the earth, promoting airflow that helps dissipate excess heat. This design ensures a comfortable growing environment for your plants, even in warmer climates.
What the gauge of your garden beds? How long will the garden beds last outdoors?
Our garden beds are crafted from 22-gauge (0.8mm) thick corrugated galvanized steel, featuring a premium powder coating and two layers of anti-corrosion paint. This ensures superior resistance to rust, rot, mildew, UV rays, and corrosion, meeting the highest standards for quality and safety. They are fully Proposition 65 and RoHS compliant. Additionally, the corner steel panels are extra thick, up to 1.6mm, providing enhanced durability. Some models are equipped with stabilizing rods for added strength and safety. Even the hardware, including screws and wingnuts, is made from high-quality stainless materials. Thanks to these robust features, our garden beds boast an impressive service life of over 20 years.
Are they safe to grow food in?
Yes. Our garden beds are painted with a finish that is safe for all kinds of gardening purposes.
